The Client
Serving northern Michigan communities for over 100 years, Honor Bank has built their business by prioritizing building relationships with the people they work and bank with. As they neared their 100 year anniversary, they wanted to refresh their approach to their customers and their banking needs. They also needed a marketing team who could work as an extension of their own as their agency of record.

Project Context
Working with a talented team of copywriters and marketers, we started our relationship with Honor Bank with a brand workshop. Through a series of exercises, we helped them discover how they wanted to talk about themselves and approach their customers, through both copy and design. Rather than redesign, the best approach for them was to slowly evolve the brand towards the new bolder direction they wanted to take. I worked with them to build campaigns and designed flyers, direct mail pieces, billboards, ATM screen animations, print and digital ads, website modifications, and their annual reports.
The 2018 annual report was themed around innovation, featuring a modular tile pattern that represented flexibility and change. It specifically helped shape a visual direction that was used through campaigns, the website and other materials through the next year.
